The window to shape how AI agent identity gets standardized is shorter than most people think.

How to Participate

ARIA's specification process follows IETF rough-consensus principles. Every change to the protocol requires public review, community discussion, and qualified-majority approval from the Technical Steering Committee. All deliberations are public. The process is designed to ensure that no single entity — including the foundation's own leadership — can unilaterally alter the standard.

Technical Steering Committee

The TSC has seven seats: three from civil society and academia, two from industry, one government liaison, and one developing-nation representative. Decisions are made by rough consensus. All members serve in their individual capacity, not as representatives of their employers. The TSC charter publishes May 2026.
